How true. My sailboat seems to be a hodgepodge of SAE, Metric, and British Imperial measurements. My water tank is in US gallons, however the fuel tank is in Imperial gallons. The exterior rigging and deck hardware is in SAE measurements, but the engine and transmission are in metric. Go figure!

Not only that, but it probably measures speed in nautical miles per hour. My personal favorite is furlongs per fortnight.

It's selectable. I can go knots/hour or miles per hour. On the Great Lakes, and down the Intracostal Waterway everything is expressed in miles in terms of distance, speed etc.... On the open ocean it's done in knots. What really throws me is when they express distance/speed in terms of cables.
