To add to one of the item to my BOB or emergency list, a simple magnifying glass. I can pick ticks off my skin and start a fire with sunlight. I think that's pretty cool. Almost forgot one until I start reading EKGs. Solar power lighter!
Yeah, they have a lot of great uses. You can use them to start unlimited fires, to aid in removal of small splinters and thorns, remove ticks, help read small print in your survival manual (if you’re older), or see anything small up close. I found some nice ones that are 10x and about the size of a half dollar. I thought they’d be great for a medical kit or PSK. If anyone else would be interested in them, send me a PM.
