I'm not sure that's what we're talking about, RF. I think it's safe to say that everyone here would much rather talk about Dan's knives than anyone else's. The problem is, Dan hasn't made any knives for us to talk about in a very long time. Some of us may be gun, sword, axe, car, dog, camping, etc, etc. fans, but ALL of us are knife fans or we wouldn't be here. To suggest that we should stop talking about knives because Dan has stopped producing them is preposterous. Knives are what we love and knives are what we talk about!
So. . . there are plenty of places to talk about other brands of knives. Many of those brands have forums. Pretty simple. Most, if not all members here are also members of other forums. Dan has not stopped producing knives. There are not any currently available, which is not even close to the same thing. Your ultimatum of "give me new knives or I will have to talk about other brands" is ludicrous. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Why not chill out and abide by the wishes of Dan, in who's house you are a guest.
