I'd never been to Knob Creek before, but even though I live in Indiana, it's only about 30 miles away. I've never been to the Kentucky Derby or Oaks at Churchill Downs, or the Indianapolis 500, so it seems strange when I hear about folks traveling cross-country (or even Internationally) to attend a local event.

After having gone to Knob Creek this weekend, I'll probably start going to the show regularly -- many booths cater to a full-auto niche of shooters, so there were fewer booths of interest to me than at the Indy 1500 show. However, Knob Creek is one of the best opportunities to buy SY/SR knives and the round trip is about 3 hours (and a most of a tank of gas) closer than Indianapolis; the entry fee is less than the shipping on one order and parking is free -- that's a pretty good deal.
