I can't remember if I have told this story before on here, my oldest daughter is almost 19.
About a year ago before she started going out with her first (and current) boyfriend, they hung around together with a few others.
One day she and I were sparring in the kitchen, dining room and living room, Brandon said "Your dad is just playing with you" she laughed and said I know.
They started sparring and I had to stop him as he was funny to watch (he had a rep as a tough nut in school I'm told)
Without thinking I said I would show him a couple of moves, He was very suprised what an old fat guy could do. He then said that's why he wore combat boots as all he needed to do was use them.
I said go ahead try, after a couple of well place muay tai kicks he figured out that wouldn't always work.
He then turned to my daughter and said your dad could kill me like nothing.

I told him just remember what happened here, you wouldn't last a minute with me, and I am not even tough.
15, 20 years ago I was tough, I wouldn't last 5 minutes with the me of 15 years ago. The next time you are in a bar (he was 20 and drinking age is 19 in BC) and you're thinking of starting something, just remember what can happen if that guy IS TOUGH

After they started going out I told him, I like you a lot and you are a nice kid, you may also think that I am a nice guy, but remember if you ever hurt my daughter, that will not mean anything to me. I am giving you fair warning that the only thing that is important to me is my family and my daughters are at the top of the list
