I see the people who started the war and those that are going to fight it as 2 completely different things. There is only one guy who voted for the war(I could be wrong) who has a child serving there. Compare that to WW2 when it was commonplace for the people high up in government to have children and relatives serve. Nowadays you have people like Bush who use his families wealth and connections to weasel out of service.

I think that the original US constitution before all the amendments was the best system of government ever devised. It had the best balance of freedom and security
and I see the second amendment as an immune system.

Sorry got off topic with a political rant ,great gesture and I am a firm believer in going with those gut feelings. It might not even be the knife but the gesture that gets him through some tough time.
