i figured it was time to find out if this knife (and company) was going to live up to the "hype" i have been reading about on this forum. i knew the thing was thick and solid but i had never played with SR77 before.
i started out slow.....had to dismember a pumpkin for the composte pile...and felt compelled to take my first pic....

i thought-its a pumpkin, i could done that with a butter knife
so on to the suburbian tree -a 2X4 in my garage.

cut through that puppy in about a minute and a half.......
+++++1 for the design of the handle

then a had to try this batoning thing.......

now i know that the DFLE is gonna be a little too pretty to abuse like this (ya right!) but as wise men have said "ya gotta know your equipment".....i now would trust this beauty with my life!

just a little of the coating came off after the hammer blows.....quite less than i expected
