I actually "JUST" saw your post over on the Busse forum and just saw where Jerry sent you here.

From you pictures, it looks to me to have been an air bubble/pocket near the edge.

There was a similar occurance to this a few weeks back.

Unfortunately, this is very hard to notice on a blade until it shows up. If they don't find it while grinding, then.... ?

The first one seemed like a pretty big anomoly. Two is not good to see - at all.
It looks like (I assume) Dan and Jerry might need to have a talk with whomever is providing SR77 bar stock.

I saw your thread showing where you obviously put a LOT of effort into getting that knife to a nice finish. THAT SUCKS the most!

Maybe Dan will replace yours with an LE - not for me to say. But, I feel for your efforts.
