yeah the GI tanto is actually not a thrower. (although can probably be thrown well) and yeah its "spring tempered" as coldsteel says. basically its really soft.

but anyways the gi tanto once chipped failed Immediately, the scrapper6 kept going and going, he could have re grinded it and it would have been fine.
i think the busse will roll and dent more than it will chip.
