ac·ro·nym
–noun
1. a word formed from the initial letters or groups of letters of words in a set phrase or series of words, as Wac from Women's Army Corps, OPEC from Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, or loran from long-range navigation.

HR, CT and SJTAC don't make words, you'd say them as letters, at least I would.

But if you want to say them phonetically:

Huuurrrr, Sssst and Sssjjtack

instead of pronouncing the names of the letters H.R. C.T. and S.J.T.A.C
that's your perogative, but I think you'd sound pretty dumb.

Maybe they're acronyms in Polish or something but I only speak English, French, German, Russian and Spanish and they don't make a word in any of those languages. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

ab·bre·vi·a·tion n.
The act or product of shortening.
A shortened form of a word or phrase used chiefly in writing to represent the complete form, such as Mass. for Massachusetts or USMC for United States Marine Corps.

Allright smart alek, what about the ASH?? huh? And fyi they've always been known as "Busse Acronyms". A few more "a little more obvious "acronyms" would be the BAT, SHE, FSH, MOASH, MOAB, etc. In the Busse community, for the most part, the knives are only referred to by thier acronyms which gives the oustider a rather confusing experience, its really best not to insult their intelligence or by over defining things eh?

My favorite Busse acronym is the CPDNOER, possible runner up CPDBA3. I think theres a longer one, but I cannot for the life of me remember it.
