It's a Satin Jack. It's the only Busse Combat knife I own.

I really like the Satin Jack. I like it and the Swamp DJ. I can’t afford the SJ though. I’d like to someday get the Satin SJ. I think it’s a good size and I really like the shape of it. I think it and the DJ look like a good large size EDC sheath knife.

That 25th anniversary SH could be the one for me if I can afford it

I’ve not heard anything about it. Are there any pics yet? What will make it different than other SHs? Just an extra anniversary label or something?

But at $227.00 for a CG BATAC, practically anybody can afford a Busse Combat knife.

After your post reminding me of it I had to go check it out again. It does look nice. It’s the upgrades that get ya though. I’d want it for EDC, and I’d want nicer looking scales like snakeskin. Then the price is getting closer to $300 with shipping. And why are the tiger hide scales the premium ones? They don’t look as neat as snakeskin to me. I wish there were more options offered though. It’s a big jump from the regular to the LE, nearly double the price. It’d be nice if the regular width one could come in satin finish for an additional charge. And perhaps a fatty in a CG finish for those that want the strength but can’t afford the price of a LE. Too many nice knives, too little money. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I’ve thought before of buying a cheaper Busse like a Shaker. I’ve seen them sell for like $125 with sheath before. Since it’s more corrosion resistant I thought it would look nice if I bead blasted it. Then I could use my 3/16” Rat Shaker as a neck knife and a heavier ¼ Busse Shaker for a pocket knife. I think a Shaker or Skeleton Key would probably be the cheapest entry-level Busse.
