well, I mean form the knifetests.com test (I KNOW I KNOW, please lets not start an argument here!) the knife seems like it can take a fair amount of hammering, maybe it will weaken it, but really, microfractures!? that scrapper 6 kept going with a heck of a lot more than micro fractures. It did better than most intact knives with huge tears rips and chunks taken out of it.
I doubt micro fractures will do this knife in.
other knives (possibly even swamprats) weaken ALOT when even small chips are taken out of them, I don't think that about scrapyards.
I have full confidence in them.

although I doubt I will hammer on it really. and I do understand what you are saying. I don't want to sound like some arrogant little kid who doesn't know what he's talking about.(which I might just be, but hey, I'm stuborn) I know what you're saying, but until I see for myself that I should think otherwise I have the utmost amount of faith in this/these knives. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

but anyways
I did baton with it (not splitting) like to get throught this about 2 inch diameter hardwood and it only took about a minute and little effort.
really awesome knife, I love it.
