Personally I prefer the Ratweiler because it's a little more bush friendly, imho, than the Yardguard. Plus I keep my Ratweiler in a piggyback sheath along with a swamp warden. It's going to make for a great bush/camp set up.

I prefer the RW over the YG because of the recurve. A recurve isn't that much more work in maintaining the blade, but I'm drawn to simple and easier when it comes to maintaining/sharpening things.
