I have an early P13.45 so my review may not help you much. Back in the day it was considered a very decent firearm.
The barrel on mine was just terrible - very rough lands. The barrel in my P13 is ramped so it does have occasional issues with some bullet shapes. Slide to rail fit was just OK, not tight but not the worst I've ever seen either. The trigger was OK out of the box, but definitely not "breaking glass" quality. I spent a lot of time dry firing the P13 to work in the trigger. Net, net it was reliable and shot 3" groups at 25 yards with factory FMJ ammo so it was an acceptable firearm for me.
For about the same money you can get a Kimber. If you haven't checked out the Kimbers you owe it to yourself to handle one before deciding what to purchase.
