But, I think I prefer about 0.24" - 0.25" thick.

My proto has about an 8.0" blade which although longer in measurement from handle material than the Chopweiler is really about the same in the hand and from the grip area as the Res-C handle doesn't go out as far onto the ricasso as the micarta and G10 scales on the Chopweiler. So, actually comparable.
