I don't see how you can't check a forum once every two maybe three days to look for a 48 hour notice then you know whewn to check for the 24 hour notice which tells you pretty much exactly when the knives will be up for sale... i never really did see the problem.
its a shame though, he doesn't want to wait, so he's never going to be able to get knives of this quality. (well there are a few companies.)
