Welcome to the Yard Robert! Yes, new releases can be a tough test on your computer, internet provider, and your nerves.
First rule: don't be late. Sometimes the server acts up. You want to have multiple chances to get your order in.
Second rule: F5 like you mean it. You want to be at your computer the second the item goes up for sale. If you're only checking every couple minutes, you're probably going to be behind when the knife goes up on the site.
Third rule: be prepared by being signed into your account and have your account information up to date. The entire shipping screen can be filled in two mouse clicks if your information is up to date.
Fourth rule: have your credit card ready. If you have to fumble around you lose even more time.
Fifth rule: Smile. It is pretty funny to think of a bunch of grown men and women punching F5 on their computer for an hour to score a knife.
Again thanks for the welcomes, I should not have ranted on that one, at least not to that extent.
Thanks for the info I really appreciate that help. I will pass on any info I come across (deals etc.) to the yard. I really like that "small group of freinds" feeling I get here.
I should ask this in a seperate thread but...Are there ever any shows n the Sacramento California area? or possibly Nevada? The shows in our area that Ive been to around here (CA) are almost all sleazy dealers terrified to TALK about knives guns etc. much less sell them. Sucks livin in Gun Grab capital of America.
