It is what it is. I've heard everything from "no better than a .22", to "on the same level as a .223." Reality is it falls somewhere in between.
For me its got a cool factor and I will say they are super fun to shoot. VERY accurate, almost no recoil, and a big fireball out the muzzle.
The Secret Service does use the round in the P90, full auto version of the PS90. They actually have a special black reticle (as opposed to white) sight so it will show up against the vast number of white buildings in DC.
Would I recomend this to the average Joe looking for a carry gun? No. Its bordering on the exotic. The weapons are expensive (my M4 cost a hell of a lot more than my PS90 when I finished it though), ammo isn't as easy to get as other cal, and there's not a lot of production holsters out there.
Have to remember stopping power isn't everything. I'm a lot better shot and can throw lead down range a lot quicker with a 5.7 than my G20.
Fun gun. By the way I traded a knife for the PS90. Not a bad deal.
