I've used air rifle scopes for years on my .22 squirrel rifles. They usually have adjustable parallax for close range. And they can take a beating. The Gamo Whisper was advertized in American Rifleman. Supposedly 1200 fps .177 cal spring piston air rifle. Has a noise dampener on the muzzle. Might be fun.
