Other Thoughts: Draws around 3 amps on 'high' with a fully charged li-ion (which is a tiny bit over 4V unloaded).
It does have a HUGE copper heat sink built in. Disapates heat like a champ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I expect they connect the led directly to the battery on high, which is probably driving the led a tiny bit too hard if you look at the specs (since a fully charged li-ion tops a bit over 4v, and the specs on the led are at most 3.8v or so).

On the upside it means it's way bright though!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Run time is rated at 60-70 minuets on High and on Low 5-6 hours

So as you can see by the ratings this is NOT a camp light by any means.
This light is designed to carry the new P7 emitter and that's it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

It cranks out so much light from its tiny hand held size it is unbelievable.
It is a HID flashlight at 50 bucks you can't possibly go wrong. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

I will shoot night pics tonight...storm last night prevented me from doing it sooner. When you see how badly this P7 chip slaps the top of the line Fenix TK-10 ..... you will order one. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" />

The color of light, the throw and spill are godly. The hot spot is solid with NO rings or halo detectable anywhere at all! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Pics tonight after 10:30 Central time. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Peace.
