Many/most media venues <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> would rather twist a story to make the individual/party who might have deserved such punish seem like an innocent victim if the story is more "Sensational" from that perspective.

I never watch the Local news anymore and rarely national news. Local news in particular only seems to want to cover shootings, deaths, car wrecks, etc. - I don't need or want 30-60 minutes more "Gloom" in my life. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
Sadly, even if the 20 year old kid had been quilty and even if he had robbed her at gun-point, shot at her, wounded her and killed one of her relatives, she would probably be put in jail for "revenge".
Shoot them when they are in your home, make sure they are "DEAD" and then claim self-defense. Sadly, even then you will likely have to pay tens to hundreds of thousands in legal fees to prove you were justified. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
