Agreed. But I'm obliged to address the question you didn't. Does INFI's superiority in the areas you've identified warrant it's three times (give or take) price increase over SR77 and two times (give or take) price increase over SR101? For some, the answer is "yes". For some, the answer is "no".

Your question can be also adapted to say "Does SR-77's superiority warrant it's several times price increase over 440A?" (just remember the Cheaper Than Dirst Rough Use Knife in the destruction tests performed by Noss)

Now, regarding SR-77 vs INFI,
In most cases I would say "NO".
But you know, there come a small percent of situations where a +10% of durability and a big plus in wear resistence and +50% rust resistence together in the same blade might worth to pay several times more to have it with you when you need it. If you have the money and if you really need that difference, the answer is a big "YES". Sometimes a small plus in some areas can make your life several times easier, so that it may worth paying several times more (that applies if you also have the money, of course).
