i was thinkin the same thing. also, i dunno about sending prototypes...maybe early production units. also, 'small production' model is one of the things that makes Jeff's work so great. if this title will compromise the attention he can give to each piece, then i am emphatically and categorically opposed to it.

of course, if he can handle it, i'd love for him to be able to quit his day job and be a full time artist. then he would also depend on a constant flow of knives from the yard for him to keep sheathing. a dry spell in steel here would be a dry spell in bread at his home.
