You got the Busse Bug M'man! There's only one cure; buy more and more Bussekin blades until the desire ebbs!
I only started buying them this past March while I was in Afghanistan, wanting a simple EDC that would be able to stand up to rigorous use. I started with the SS4 (still to date one of my faves). Then, I got a deal on a DFLE and a DMLE. After that, it's a blur; MPLEs, BDLEs, Tan YardKeeper, HCLE, Crash Axe, S6, ASH1, DFCG, Tan SODs, and so on.
I'm still searching for more and more of these amazing blades; I want a Rat Daddy, Chopweiler, CGFBM, NMFBM, JackHammer, GW, Skellys, another SS4, Yard Keeper, and Crash Axe...... I could go on and on but I think you're getting the point!
I'm glad you're psyched about the DLE; trust me, once you've got it in hand, you'll understand why so many love it. The balance, grip, weight.... it all combines into one well made go-to blade for anyone who knows anything about quality knife craftsmanship!
If you're going to be using it for some serious hacking/slashing, I might recommend having a convex edge put onto it. There are a number of threads on here on how to do it yourself (Usually by knowledgeable Dawgs like Horndog, Knifeguy, or Magnum22), either manually or with a belt sander. As many will tell you though; practice on something like an old lawnmower blade first, to get your technique down, before trying it on your good knives.
Anyway, congrats, and welcome to the addiction! We hold meetings roughly every 3 months, which coincidentally coincides with Dans' new releases...... Is there a connection? Hmmmmm....
