My first choice would be a short-barreled 12 gauge shotgun with #4 buckshot, which my wife has on her side of the bed. I have an 870 Remington Express Magnum on my side, with #4s and Centurion duplex loads(6 #1 buckshot and 1 .65 cal. ball).
