I can see this as being a very useful design for a small knife. There are a lot
of intricate things that you can do with smaller knives, so having a choice of
thumb rest makes sense.
About the only thing I would like to see different would be to have a drop point
or spear point (like on the AD) on the blade. That would make it a fantastic bushcraft knife.
The spine is designed so that it's comfortable to use the first notch for your thumb, or the second if you want to hold the knife with you index finger along the top of the blade. It looks a bit odd, but is quite comfortable to use.
