The "gladius" in my photo is a Condor Combat Machete. It has a 13" blade of 3.5mm thick 420HC German steel. The handle is sanophrene. It cuts OK, but there are better machetes out there for less. I just thought it looked cool. It is lively in the hand. Only weighs about one lb. I like to stick it in trees.

I don’t think I’d especially care for a SY version of that type. I want a two handed sword. Something that size is too short I think. It’s not that much bigger than the DF.
