Well, my sheath is stitched up. What would have taken me hours(hand stitching) the guys at the saddle shop did in about one minute w/their machine. The right equipment for the job sure is nice.
Now I need to sand down the edges of the scabbard and oil the leather real well and it will be almost complete.
I take mink oil and really cake it on then hit it with a heat gun and the leather soaks it up like crazy. For good measure I will beezwax or snoseal the outside too. This is my 3rd or fourth leather sheath and it is light years ahead of the others I have done. Not Rainwalker beauty by any stretch of the imagination but it should do the job nicely.
