Gerber must have cut a deal with the Patent holder of the Pack Ax looks just like it except fancier, nice guy I met him on the phone a few years back. I have a couple of the Pack Ax's and they're decent light duty Axes. BTW, the Pack Ax holds up just fine and I imagine the Kick Ax will too, within limits.
