On this holy day, I would just try to keep the peace. We all have family difficulties, but thank God you have a family dinner to go to. I did not attend church today, as I am busy preparing dinner and cleaning up for my guests. I hope it goes well, but my 18 year old daughter will be bringing her mixed race boyfriend, and my brother in law will be here too, as my sister is away in Atlanta on business. He really, strongly disapproves of my daughter's choice, and I am not happy with it, either. But I am going to do my best to prepare a fine meal and treat all my guests with hospitality and love. I am just grateful that I will not be spending this Easter alone and will have my girls here. Life is too short to let the important things be at the mercy of our petty differences.
