It actually is much better to sit back and " try" to understand " their" way of thinking. It will make you a much better and stronger person. Keep in mind I am not saying that it is easy- but nothing is. Plus- you might be surprised and learn something from them. Try offering some kind comments and even compliments and you might find that it goes a very long way.
