i find it hard to find use for the short&tough knives. short and sharp, that's much better. the d mutt is a mini big knife and the s5 is the big cutter. both 'jack of all trades, master of none' to me.

at least the d mutt has a niche. more purpose built. the s5 probably is more practical overally, but i've never touched it so can't say.
