I would have liked to have known about a cheaper SE version when the LE's were up...

The $70 difference is not far off a Scrapper 5....

The extra features on the LE for this money are seemingly a true full convex edge and tigerhide...the numbers mean nothing to me as a user...the black G10 on my 3B2 is actually very nice as a handle...the "feel" is very smooth and cool...so the Black G10 on the SE would have been fine with me...

This is the first time I have had cause to complain about a Busse release.....usually they give you the options right off....I hope they stick with this in future...selling the most expensive versions first and then bringing out something that fits the bill more so... which is cheaper... is'nt easy to "suck up" when money is "tight" as it is in this recession.

Fully convexing an SE would be a "doddle" and about 15 mins work....handle wise I am not bothered so long as they work and are not too bright or uncomfortable...my LE is now a definate "user" as well so no sense looking at trading and getting a cheaper model....plus being abroad I get a high unclaimable overhead on tax and duty....however as a "knife" I am pleased with it's performance but do feel like I have been daft spending on an LE because of not knowing that cheaper and more suitable models were going to be available...and this "smoke and mirrors" playing with customers does'nt do it for me at all. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" />

I bet myself and probably Jeff who went for an LE for sheaths are prime examples of guys who would comfortably have chosen the cheaper SE model or who knows what other models are in the pipe line if we had known at the start.

So what is next?? Probably a double cut with green linen handles....which actually would be pretty perfect as my "ideal choice"....or even combat grade models...who knows??
