I know finances are tough for a lot of people other than just me right now. But, I think passing on the M9LE is going to be a BIG mistake.
I think there is going to be a LOT of demand for that knife once people start getting them in their hands, posting pics, and posting impressions.
I think the M9LE is destined to be a CLASSIC!!!!
As much as people keep praising how GREAT the NMSFNO is (I concure, - The NMSFNO "IS" a great knife!!! ) and how GREAT a bargain the NMSFNO is for INFI at $327.00,....
Consider this about the M9LE:
*** it IS AWESOME differentially heat treated SR-101
AND
*** I personally feel and believe that SR-101 "IS" "UBER" tough / PLENTY tough with a LONG and PROVEN record of taking EXTREME abuse!!!!
AND
*** with edge qualities/properties about as good as INFI (+/- very close)!!!
AND
*** it is SATIN ( *** Which would cost an extra $300 or so on a Busse!)
AND
*** it has a GORGEOUS (functional toughness adding) Temper line
AND
*** it is an inch longer with full height grind which should both chop VERY well and still be pretty nimble in the hand. I "Think" it will have very good feel and balance!
AND
*** it is about $80 less than the NMSFNO - you could almost have a S5CG and a M9LE for the price of a NMSFNO!!!
I WISH I could afford to have a SPARE!
