In my limited experience, I prefer the "old" res-c handles to the mudders. The rubber on the HR is tackier than that of the rubber on my S4 (both wet and dry). However, the added ribbing and the palm swells of the mudder make up for this issue (as far as slipping and losing the blade would be concerned) and I am confident using either one in any condition. However, if they could somehow combine the best of both worlds and make a handle that had the tacky res-c of the HR and the palm swells (can do w/o the ribbing as I thought such is the reason for lack of tackiness) of the mudder...that would be perfection in my opinion!
But again, either way, with res-c you will have a GREAT handle. Way better than any other rubber handle I have used and 1,000 times better than any slab handle (micarta, G-10, whatever) in my experience/opinion.
