I do not have a big chopper. Do I need one or will something like the Scrapper 6 or a ASH1 fit the bill for most duties? I have the opportunity to buy the M9LE from the Swamp but I am not sure I require a 10" blade. I have 2 Scrapper 5 coming but that size (5-6") is where most of my knives are. I said MOST. anyhow what do you guys think? I do plan on using whatever I get for the basic camping chores but am thinking forward to our 72hr kits and SHTF scenarios. Is a larger blade needed? BTW I don't live in the jungle, well just the heart of the Mormon Jungle in SLC. Hope that helps you to help me. Thank you in advance for your thoughtful expertise.

Now for Dumpster Dan thinking; Leave social and educated reasoning at the door. Recognize that we have a deep seated sense, almost a primal requirement, to posses strength, power and control over our domain. The real question is not if a chopper will be used for productive work (of course it will) but if you are connected with your need to rule.
