Welcome to the Yard BTW.

I don't have a rescue tool, but I have the OHT (One Hand Trekker), the German equivalent (it's called a GAK) and I have a couple of soldiers. The OHT (4 1/2 inches closed) is similar in size to the Rescue tool (4 3/8 inches closed). The Trekker size SAK's are a bit large for the pocket so I tend to carry the soldier style blades more. I carry the OHT size SAK's in a sheath, my man purse or a pack.

I actually carry a farmer most of the time because it adds the saw to the soldier essentially. The SAK's saws work really well. If you are planning on carrying the knife in a sheath or you don't mind a thick folder handing out in your pocket, then the rescue might be the ticket. Google "Felinevet Sosak" and you can check out all sorts of cool models and compare sizes. Amazon sometimes has great deals on SAK's as well.

Scrapyard has never made a folder.
