It is mainly the whole Customs thing. they hold stuff for an indefinite time frame depending on backlog and interest. Then they charge duty on it, normally only about 6%.

The other challenge is finding people willing to ship by USPS. UPS charges an extra $40USD in "fees" for clearing stuff through customs... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
