dan, i know we macho knife guys are supposed to shy away from sounding like hippies, but i gotta say that's like profound voodoo wisdom. it's really not your knife, in a deeper sense than simple ownership, until you perform a task with it. the wear on the blade is as good as putting your mark on it.
