Jerry said the snakeskin micarta is for all intensive purposes a manufacturing accident. Once it's gone it's gone. It looks cooler, is more collectable, and more expensive than the tan micarta.

If you have really big hands I'd consider the magnum scales. I've seen posts where some folks say the magnum handles are more comfortable. I've never tried them so I can't tell you any more than second hand information.
