I've thought about taking it up again as a sport, but (don't laugh)the equipment has changed so much since I was last proficient at it.

FYI - I'm sure you know that Arches National Park has more natural bridges, arches, recess caves, etc, than any place in the U.S. Well, the #2 spot on the list is Red River Gorge, in the Daniel Boone National Forest, about a half-hour from where I live here in central KY. For the longest time it was the best-kept secret amongst rockclimbers and rappellers here in the east, but about 10 years ago it hit the maps and the secret was out.
Think Arches, but with water, forests and greenery instead of desert.
