For Res-C, I like black handles and SATIN blades. Period.
I wish the MPLE and Muk had been black handled. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" />

But, for coated blades, I have to say SAGE is easily my favorite coating! It is actually quite nice "Looking".

With these Res-C handles, the Sage goes well with the Black Res-C and looks very cool with the Brown Res-C.

I am glad everyone can have such a variety of colors to choose from on the S5CG and generally pretty hard to complain about color options. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> .... and ... er.. satin is coming (but... I guess there won't likely be SR-101 in satin. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />)

For micarta and natural handle materials, I like black or earth toned colors. Preferably dark brown if not black.

But, since satin was not a blade option (yet) and since we don't know what the price or blade material will be on the satin version, I have a black/black and a black handle/Sage blade SR-101 S5CG's coming.

I might have to strip one of them. Just not sure which one will be the lucky user yet.

I will actually most likely refrain from using or doing ANYTHING with my S5CG until I find out the deal on the satin versions. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
I guess I will just end up stashing these two to wait and see what happens with the satin LE.

If I consider the satin LE a good price and a steel I like, I might just have to get the satin and not waste my time stripping another CG. I consider it a bit unfortunate to have to do it this way though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> - I would have been VERY happy with a satin SR-101 blade.
