I've found tuff cloths to be pretty effective at preventing rust on SR-101, and they don't leave your blade with that greased up feeling. Marine tuff cloths seem to be the best.

I used to think 1095 rusted pretty quickly, until I got my hands on some SR-101. Looks like Recon Seed was right - that stuff DOES rust as soon as you look at it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
