I like this combination of a SAK and a R2 Damascus Steel 3 3/4 inch fixed blade by Hiro Itou of Japan...the sheath fits into a pocket of either a jacket or jeans...and it's a handy combination for most situations. That R2 Steel takes a scalpel sharp edge and really holds it. I have used it to lance scalps and remove sists...it will do the work of a scalpel no problem.
For further a field I like these three for belt kit use....

The FSH variant is perfect for me .... although a bit expensive....the Benchmade lock knife and the larger SAK have been all over the world with me and stand me "nothing"....a lock knife like this and a SAK can handle most every thing in normal circumstances...the FSH deals with the rest <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
