i really gotta get some UPS (battery backups) for my home PCs. yesterday we lost power for 1-1/2 hours! due to high winds knocking something down.
coulda been the difference between score/no score!
phone line (DSL) hardly ever goes down..
Actually I have battery back ups for computers and other house hold items. If you have the money they can really save your arse. You can plug basically any normal pronged home appliance into them. Won't help if cable goes down though!
