HAHA...I never thought of it as a paddle but I might have to give it a try.....I designed the tip of it that way because it beefed up the thin edge...Who uses the end of that long of a knife anyway?? Plus, I can always use it to dig moles out of the ground if the need arises,,,,,HAHA
