I recently upgraded from a 4-year-old PowerMac G5 with liquid cooled processors, and got a new 24" iMac with a dual core pentium. I didn't need the supreme processing power of the new intel tower machines, so the iMac fit my needs quite nicely.

Best part? NO EFFORT upgrade. Apple's migration utility is absolutely brilliant at moving settings and files over with very few problems. I've upgraded my laptop three times, over two different processor architectures, and still have all the files and settings from the original g4 ibook.
