My dad and I picked up 2 Sea Eagle 2 person inflatable "explorer" kayaks and they should be here by the end of the week. Been looking at taking the kids out on some lakes up in the hills. No whitewater stuff, just point a to point b for now. There are a couple of lakes with islands that I have wanted to camp/hike on but never could. Picking up PFD's for everyone this week as well.

Since we don't have a trailer and did not want to go down that road, we opted for the inflatables. Their explorer line is the tougher of their 2 lines but I never having been on a freshwater kayak so it will be interesting.

Anyone do any recreational kayaking?
