When I first saw in pictures the Paul's Hatchet, I felt two questions in my mind:
1) Isn't it too lightweight on the head to chop like a hatchet?!
and
2) Why doesn't it have a tip??
A tip would not affect the chopping ability in this case! To the contrary: attaching a tip to it, would make it even more forward-balanced with more weight behind the edge and would also give a lot more possible uses to the same tool!

I think big Dan can still make such a knife with no problem if he'll make the tip and the edge profile a little bit different from the picture. The basic source of the image is anyway a bussekin made tool after all. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
