IMO, reinforcing the guard is about the only major mod The Regulator needs. How to do that if the handle is affixed by sliding it onto the tang is beyond me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> If reinforcing the guard is impossible (as I suspect it may be), I agree that the Reg is just fine the way it is.
